Today // Silk Soft Blouse

Well this is what I'm wearing today. The blouse I only bought for 10 euro in sale at H&M! Really happy with it, love the texture. As you maybe have noticed, I'm a big fan of affordable clothes (like H&M, bershka, newlook, primark, topshop). But lately I noticed that there are a lot of bloggers, who went from all affordable clothes, to high-fashion (non-affordable-for-me) clothes. I really think this is a pity, because I really loved the blogs who inspire me with clothes I also can afford. It is not that I don't like the high-fashion clothes, but I don't think I can spend more on a shirt then 60 euro (and that's only when I really really really love a shirt). Maybe if I get older, and earn more money this will change, but for now I can't imagine buying really expensive clothes. I'm wondering how you guys think about this? Do you ever spend a lot of money on 1 item? And what do you think about the new high-fashion blogger trend?

And as some of you might have noticed, I parted my hair in the middle this post and the post before, because I thought it was time for something new with my hair! I always have worn my hair in a side part, but I really love middle parts on other people! But I'm still not sure I like it this way by myself.. what do you think? Part my hair at the middle of do a side part?

Well a lot of questions :p.
Hope you like my outfit! (and again everything is from H&M except from the belt (primark))

Today // Cool new sweater!

I really adore my new sweater! The texture is so nice and innovative! Never worn something like this before. It looks a bit like a hauberk (in dutch: een maliĆ«nkolder, zo'n ding wat Romeinen vroeger droegen onder hen harnas). And I really love the crossbands on the back! Gives it a chique touch. And I think my bag is adorable too :p. It looks a bit childish which I like. Actually wanted that bag in another color (brown or beige or something like that), but the black one is okey too :).

I'm a bit tired of studying :( And a bit tired of rainy depressive weather:(. I want summer.. who's with me?

Well this is what I'm wearing:
Sweater - H&M (spring 2011 collection)
Skirt - H&M
Bag - H&M
Shoes - H&M
hmm I think everything is from H&M haha.
I hope you like my outfit!

Shopping // My Rome purchases

Ofcourse I had to do some shopping in Rome, but unfortunately there weren't that much nice stores as I hoped there would be. But still I found some great clothes I think (all at H&M)! And most of them where in sale (except for the sweater and rings)! I bought the bag instead of 30 for only 10 euro, the long shirt I bought for also for 10 euro instead of 35 euro and the shirt with lace from 30 for 15 euro! Hooray. And  I found this perfect sweater from the new collection that I really adored (the one on the right) (on the pictures above the color looks a bit pink, but it is actually more like softbeige/pink). So I'm still really happy with my Rome buyings.

Hope you like them!

Diary// I'm Back!

In the Colloseum!

Again, listening to a mobile guide

In front of the Colloseum (blurry picture)

Our balcony view from the hotel.

In front of the Trevi fountain!

Drinking hot chocolate on the roof of a museum.
Visiting the Zoo of Rome

Watching the sunset with my boyfriend.

And again, Sunset from the park

I had an amazing time in Rome. Seen lots of amazing things, and enjoyed the good weather (17 degrees + sun everyday!!).  I have fallen a bit in love with the city, great food, great weather, great buildings, great people, great view, the only thing that bothered me a bit, was the lack of nice fashion stores (I'm talking about the affordable ones ;) ) But I still managed to buy some great clothes, wich I will show you tomorrow :).

Now I'm of studying, I'm having exams this week and next week :(.

S/S 2011 Musthave #2: the return of the ‘70s.

The second trend on my musthave s/s 2011 list (and the biggest I think) is the 70's trend. On the runway the 70's trend was a clear winner. Designers all over the world were tapping into a 1970′s mood for Spring 2011.

The 1970′s were about individuality and expression and fashion was a big part of the movement.  Within 1970′s fashion, there are several different classifications of style.  The bohemian hippies set trends with bell-bottoms and fringe, feathers and lace always projecting an easy ethereal vibe in their dress.  While the hippies were protesting, the city gals were getting glammed up at Studio 54.  The Dicso queens of the 1970′s set trends in the high-fashion world with sequins and shine, jumpsuits and platforms, and a bright color palette of orange, purple and salmon.  (tekst: theschereport)

For Spring 2011 there are all lot these fashions re-introduced on the runway. There are a lot of trends this spring/summer which have 70s influence like;  the tunic, transparency, full leg trousers, bow tie blouses, elongated blazers, lace, leopard prints and utilitarian denim, bohemian vintage, the jumpsuit.

I will show you a few pictures and items of some 70s outfits I like! (from H&M, Asos and topshop)

And now I'm going to pack my bag! Because tomorrow I'm going to Rome!!!
